WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
Put simply, CrossFit is a unique training program that delivers phenomenal, life-changing results for people of all ages and fitness levels.

At CrossFit MSD we run small group workouts where you will be always be under the guidance of an experienced coach. These workouts are made up of constantly varied, functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running and throwing) performed at a high intensity relative to your own capabilities.
This means your body NEVER plateaus and you get an amazing training result.
Each day there is a completely different workout that everyone participates in together called the WOD (workout of the day). While being challenging, these workouts are completely scalable, meaning that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout – varying only by changes in weight, range of movement and intensity and sometimes we will change the movement completely if we feel it’s to difﬁcult for you. We can also scale up if it’s to easy.
Our program is not focused towards developing one specific type of fitness, rather we aim to improve your capacity in ten recognised fitness domains:
1) Cardio-respiratory endurance
We believe that this is the best way to become an “overall” ﬁtter human being. The result from this type of training will have you looking amazing, feeling amazing and most importantly moving amazing. We want to teach you how to move properly not only in the gym, but in everyday life.
When you walk into our gym, you’ll see straight away that it doesn’t look like your “typical gym”. Instead, you’ll ﬁnd a heap of barbells, squat racks, weight plates, kettlebells, rowing machines, pull up bars, gymnastic rings, ropes, medicine balls and lots of open space. All this is what is going to get you awesome results and turn you into a total bad ass in and out of the gym.
At CrossFit MSD, we have an awesome community of like-minded people who just want to get ﬁtter, healthier and get one step closer to achieving their goals. We do this as a group, as a family. At the end of each training session members give each other a high 5, tell each other how well they done etc. Everyone gets cheered on and everyone gets on well with one another.
I have personally seen some of the strongest lifelong friendships form from people at the gym. When you start training with CrossFit MSD, you become more then just a member at a gym, you become a part of our community and you’ll meet some amazing people and form some wonderful friendships along the way.
